One method spammers use to grab email addresses is to scan through the code making up a website and looking for email addresses. The method we used to defeat spammers and prevent them from doing this is called email obfuscation.
Email obfuscation is the process of taking an email address and replacing it with a specially coded replacement that is unreadable by humans. Computers can read and display this replacement perfectly, though.
